André Alves is a visual artist and research based in Göteborg (SE) and Lever (PT).
He works currently as a doctoral researcher at Valand Academy - University of Gothenburg.
He holds a MFA in Drawing completed at the University of Cincinnati under a Fulbright scholarship and a MA in Visual Arts Education by Universidade do Porto.
His work observes spaces, objects and situations defined by transition, as well as the renegotiation of the meanings of concepts connected to the ideas of instability, making use of an approach combining visual ant textual forms.
Drawing, literary formats and installation are the typologies that define his artistic approach.
